How it fits your pond

Weighted airline is what keeps a diffused aeration system tidy and reliable. Standard airline floats and has to be held down by hand with bricks or rebar — a job that never stays put. Self-sinking line lies on the bottom on its own. Common practice is to run inexpensive airhose from the compressor to the water's edge and use weighted line only inside the pond.

Installation note: bury the airline 4"–6" or deeper on the run into the pond to protect it from equipment, animals and winter ice.
