FFM Filter Floss Bio-Media - 3000' Roll

Ribbon type material commonly used in AquaFalls pond filters as a lava rock alternative. This flat strapping is embossed on both sides to create additional surface area for bacteria colonization. The lightweight media lasts indefinitely with no negative effect on water quality, unlike lava rock. Pond builders prefer Filter Floss Bio-Media in AquaFalls filters because each media bag weighs 4 lbs. instead of 40 lbs. when filled with lava rock, significantly reducing handling burden. Each box fills three MB21 mesh bags (sold separately) and contains approximately 6 cu. ft. of media.
